🎯 Quick Picks: Cheapest Tables

These are starting points rather than guarantees. A low-limit table may be full, closed temporarily or operating with different rules when you arrive.

💵 Cheapest Starting Points by Game

Minimums change with the day, time, demand and table availability. “Advertised from” is not a guarantee, so check the placard before buying in.

🧭 How to Find the Lowest Table Minimums

• Check weekday mornings and early afternoons first.
• Ask the pit boss whether another table has a lower minimum.
• Compare blackjack payouts, not just the opening stake.
• Check whether side bets are compulsory.
• Remember that electronic games can move faster and increase your hourly spending.
• Set a gambling budget before entering the casino.

🎰 Live Tables vs Electronic Games

Electronic games can be easier for a nervous first-time player, but a low minimum does not automatically mean better value. Check the rules and payout before playing.

🧭 Best Low-Stakes Casinos for Beginners

• Excalibur: The clearest low-cost live-dealer option directly on the Strip.
• Ellis Island: A strong all-round choice near the Strip when table rules matter as much as the opening stake.
• OYO: The lowest advertised live blackjack starting point, but confirm availability and the blackjack payout before making a special trip.
• Harrah's, Flamingo and The LINQ: Convenient central-Strip options for electronic blackjack, craps and roulette.

Set a separate gambling budget before entering the casino and treat it as entertainment spending rather than money you expect to recover.

OYO Hotel & Casino — Advertised Blackjack From $1

OYO is one of the cheapest places to investigate if you want a very small opening stake. • Starting stake: Advertised from $1; current $5 blackjack and up is promoted as paying 3:2
• Other games: Roulette, craps, slots and William Hill sportsbook
• Hours: Check the current casino information before travelling
• Upper limit: Not published; check the placard
• Best for: Testing a low opening stake near the south Strip
• Check before playing: Confirm the table is open, the exact minimum and whether the game pays 3:2 or 6:5

🏨 What About the Big Strip Resorts?

Large Strip resorts rarely guarantee one live-table starting stake online. MGM Grand, Bellagio, ARIA, Cosmopolitan, Caesars Palace, Venetian, Wynn, Resorts World and Fontainebleau commonly use variable limits that change with demand, day and time.

Best time to look for lower limits: weekday mornings and early afternoons. Friday and Saturday evenings, fight weekends, Formula 1, New Year's Eve and major conventions usually push prices higher. If you prefer Fremont Street, compare the best Downtown Las Vegas hotels. If you prefer resort convenience, compare the Best Hotels on the Las Vegas Strip. For the wider trip-cost plan, see the Las Vegas on a Budget guide. If total accommodation cost matters, see the Las Vegas Hotels With No Resort Fees guide.

If you want a particular game, ask the pit whether another table has a lower opening stake before buying in.

🎁 Current Promotions at Low-Minimum Casinos

Promotions change frequently, so these should be treated as starting points rather than guaranteed cash. Read the full terms, check expiry dates and never increase your gambling budget to unlock a promotion.

Official details: OYO Rewards · Ellis Island · Palms Club Serrano · Silverton Rewards · Downtown Grand promotions · Golden Nugget table games · Golden Nugget new-member offer

Before chasing a promotion:

• Read the full terms and conditions.
• Check whether the reward is free play, match play, promotional chips or dining credit.
• Confirm how much qualifying play is required.
• Check expiry times and whether the offer is limited to new members.
• Never increase your budget solely to unlock a promotion.

💳 Rewards Programmes Worth Joining

Casino loyalty cards are usually free and can generate personalised hotel, food and gaming offers. For most visitors, it makes more sense to concentrate meaningful play within one or two programmes rather than spreading tiny amounts across many.

Useful programmes include MGM Rewards, Caesars Rewards, Venetian Rewards, Wynn Rewards, Fontainebleau Rewards, Genting Rewards, Club One, Boyd Rewards and Station Boarding Pass.

❓ Low-Limit Casino FAQs

Where is the cheapest blackjack in Las Vegas?

OYO continues to reference an entry point as low as $1 in some official offer material, but its main casino page currently highlights $5 blackjack and up paying 3:2. Verify the exact table and payout before travelling specifically for the $1 option.

What is the best low-minimum live blackjack on the Strip?

Excalibur is currently the clearest option because it advertises $5 live blackjack 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Always check the payout and table rules before playing.

Can you still find $5 blackjack?

Yes. Excalibur advertises $5 live blackjack 24/7, while Ellis Island, Palms and OYO also publish low-limit blackjack options. Some tables and offers are subject to availability.

Where can I find $5 blackjack on the Strip?

Excalibur currently provides the clearest live-dealer answer. Electronic table games may offer lower starting points at central-Strip properties, but check the displayed rules and minimum before playing.

Is $1 blackjack better than $5 blackjack?

Not necessarily. A $1 table can have worse rules, such as 6:5 or even-money blackjack. A $5 table paying 3:2 may offer better value despite the higher starting stake.

Do table limits rise at night and on weekends?

Often, yes. Weekday mornings and afternoons generally provide the best chance of lower opening stakes. Friday and Saturday evenings, major events and busy convention periods can push minimums higher.

Is $5 blackjack always good value?

No. Compare the blackjack payout, number of decks, dealer rules, side bets and other conditions. The Las Vegas Gambling Guide explains the rules that matter.
